compare energy providers

The credit crunch is slowly causing more and more people to look for ways to cut down on the cost of living. Household bills are one place that most people can save money relatively painlessly, and without suffering reduced living standards as a consequence.

Many of us tend to simply stick with the same company year after year, when spending just a little time shopping around for a better deal could possibly save you hundreds of pounds a year. Whilst trawling through the myriad of offers out there may seem daunting at first, once you get started it is in fact relatively easy, especially with the help of a comparison website.

Compare Gas and Electricity Prices

Comparison websites, such as energychoices.co.uk are a great help to consumers wishing to save cash by easily checking the prices of nearly all energy providers in your area in one go.

Having lots of information in one place can make it easy to get the best deal, saving a decent amount of cash, and avoiding the stress of having to read through many websites individually.

Energychoices also have the answers to many of the questions that you may need answering when looking to switch providers,so it is highly recommended that you take time to sit down with a coffee and read through the articles available on the site.

So, if like many people at the moment you are looking to cut costs and save on your bills, visit energychoices.co.uk and compare energy prices, you may be pleasantly surprised by how much you can save!

Want to Save Up To £349 a year ? Then Consider Energy Comparison to Your Cut Gas and Electricity Prices.

July 30th, 2008 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Press Releases

compare energy providers

The credit crunch is hitting most people to some extent, as a result most of us could do with cutting a few costs here and there, but at the same time none of us really want to sacrifice the lifestyle that we have become accustomed to. We take a look at how gas and electricity comparison can help save rather more money than you might imagine.

There are many energy providers in the UK, all with different deals and offers. Finding the best deal can be a tiresome task, involving either calling every company in person, getting leaflets from all the companies that cover your area, or visiting scores of websites to see who can offer you the best deal.

It is the thought of having to put this amount of effort into comparing energy providers that puts most of us off…

Easy way to compare energy providers.

There is, however, an easier way to compare electricity prices. Comparison websites offer a huge amount of information on the various energy providers, and make the task of finding out what energy company and tariff is best for you, easy.

When looking to switch energy providers, it is important not to jump the gun. Make sure you visit a site like energychoices, and read some of the great articles on the site, so that you fully understand the options, tariffs and possibly problems with switching to another provider.

Some people seem to think that switching providers may mean a loss in service during the process. This should never be the case. Usually once you have decided which company you wish to go with, the switch is seamless. Again, it is the initial research, taking time to fully explore your options that can get you a much better deal, and yes, you can save up to £349 a year.*

——–

* at least 10% of customers who switch energy supplier or tariff via Energy Choices gained a saving of between £349.27 and £1,566.91 during the period 1 November 2007 and 31 January 2008.

Avoid Debt Problems with a Prepay Credit Card.

July 30th, 2008 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Press Releases

prepaid credit card

If you are one of the millions of people that are looking for the functionality of a credit card, but want to avoid the risks that come with debt, then a Prepay credit card may be the ideal solution for you.

What is a Prepay credit card?

Basically, a prepay credit card works in a similar way to a debit card, in that you can only spend money that you have in your account (Prepay card account, rather than bank account). The most obvious benefit to prepay credit cards over debit cards is that they are, by and large, accepted anywhere that takes that brand of credit card. (MasterCard, for example)

Does a prepay credit card cost a lot?

Well, it depends how you use the card really! Here are the basics

1. Some providers charge an application fee, but not all of them do.

2. Some then charge a monthly service fee, but again, not all prepay card providers do.

3. Loading fees are sometimes also charged, but again, this is not always the case (Some providers offer both free and paid methods of topping up your card, depending on which outlet you choose to top up at)

4. Cash withdrawals – Many prepay credit card providers charge for cash withdrawals, so check this out before applying.

5. Specific transaction fees – Some providers may charge fees for specific things, such as online purchases.

Are prepay credit cards useful?

They can be. It really depends who you are, and what you want from a card. Prepay credit cards are ideally suited to those that may struggle to be approved for a standard credit card due to bad credit history. That said there are a number of other benefits:

1. Good for online purchases (Because you cannot usually spend more than you have in the account, there is less risk of hackers running you into bad debt if they got hold of your details)

2. For the similar reasons as mentioned above, these cards can be good for travelling in foreign countries, because again, you know there is a limit to the damage that anyone either stealing or copying your card can do. Also, as the card is separate to your main bank accounts, there is less chance of identity theft.

3. Some prepay credit cards are available in different currencies, making these cards ideal for travelling with.

4. Compared to debit cards, they are accepted in many more locations.

5. There is no interest charged on the balance of the credit cards, as this money is obviously yours in the first place!

6. Some parents whose children are away to university may wish to give them prepay credit cards as a backup funding source in case of emergencies. This is a great way to offer a safety buffer, without having the worry of the kids running up bad debt. For example, if you get an urgent “The electricity is about to be cut off” type of phone call, you can simply load the required amount onto their card, and they can pay the bill with the credit card at most banks. They cannot, however, run themselves into debt with the card by lavish spending on alcohol and parties.

7. To summarize, prepay credit cards are great for those with a poor credit history, people wanting to travel abroad, or for the parents of Uni students, wanting to provide a handy financial buffer.
As the offers and costs involved with prepay cards vary hugely, using a comparison website, such as creditchoices.co.uk would be highly recommended.

webmaster forums

When trying to find advice about how to market your website, it is often hard to sort through the thousands of ‘snake oil’ salesmen to find someone that will give you honest, unbiased advice. Webmaster forums are an ideal place to find unbiased advice for a number of reasons, we explore a few of these points below.

Webmaster forums are peer reviewed.

A good seo forum will have many members that are specialists in the field. These guys know what they are talking about. So, when a ‘snake oil’ salesman comes along with some naff thread about how he can get you the no.1 slot in Google overnight, they are quickly slammed down by the big boys of the forum. This kind of creates a self regulated setup, and means its safer for people wanting to learn about online promotion.

Online marketing techniques put to the test in an open environment

Similarly, when someone does sell a service, visitors and forum members are able to see other peoples honest reviews of the service, along with any criticisms. This makes it harder for people to make outlandish claims about their work without being rebuked by the forum members.

Great for free SEO advice

Another great thing about webmaster forums is the wealth of free advice. Where else can you go and read the conversations of some of the top SEO and online marketing guys in the field? – These guys are often discussing the pros and cons of the latest SEO and online marketing techniques, thus you get free insider information, that is much better than you would get in any ebook!

Free seo advice

Finally, if you have read lots of the threads in a forum, but still have a problem or question regarding online marketing, web design or other relevant topic, then you can post a thread asking for help or advice… and get expert help or tips completely free of charge! – Make sure you use the search box to see if the question has already been answered first though, as otherwise you may risk annoying the hell out of busy people!

So as you can see, Webmaster forums are a great place to hang out if you want to learn how to effectively manage an online business, and get insider tips on the latest online marketing methods for free!

Blade Servers – Great Web Servers, But Where Do You Go For Spares?

July 29th, 2008 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Press Releases

blade servers

What are Blade Servers?

Blade servers differ from many servers, in that they are are self-contained computer servers, as opposed to rack mounted servers. These servers are designed for high density.

Blade servers have a reduced number of components to save space and power, but still have all the parts needed to be considered a computer. The blade enclosure can hold many blade servers and gives services such as networking, power, cooling systems and various connections.

Blade servers are very popular with web hosts and people using cluster computing setups. Often Blade Servers are hot swappable.

Blade Server Problems

The main problem for large businesses using Blade Servers can be where to source parts for the servers in the event of a breakdown.

To make sure they get the correct parts, technicians should source the components from specialist suppliers of Blade server components , such as microbite.co.uk.

Microbite supply thousands of server spares, and have a great knowledge of Blade servers, and related components. Their phone number is on their site also, which means if you are ever struggling to find the correct part on their website, you can pick up the phone and give the guys a call to get some advice.

Blade servers are one of the most popular servers around, but like anything else, being prepared for server downtime can massively reduce the hassles of breakdowns. Make sure you have contact details of blade server component

Credit Card Charges Abroad – And How to Avoid Them

July 25th, 2008 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Press Releases

credit card charges abroad

When traveling abroad, having your credit and/or debit cards with you can be both a convenience and a lifeline in emergency situations. It can also, however, cost you dearly. We explore the options for you, so that you don’t get a nasty shock when you get your card bill on your return.

Are the Charges Obvious?

Whilst you may think that credit card charges abroad are pretty obvious, some are however a bit more under most card user’s radar. Detailed below are the 3 main fees related to using your credit card abroad.

Exchange Rate Loading Fees

These loading fees are actually added onto the exchange rate by the bank when card users make foreign transactions. The card exchange rate, as dictated by Visa or MasterCard’s wholesale rate, is often very competitive, but once the exchange rate loading fee has been added the rate may not be so good!

Possibly the most worrying part of exchange rate leading fees is the fact that they don’t normally appear on your credit card statement.

These fees can be avoided however – for example the post office card does not use these fees.

Foreign Spending Fees (for when you are on a foreign spending spree!)

Some debit cards carry a flat rate charge on all foreign transactions. Other banks do not do this. Again, check the www.creditchoices.co.uk site for more information about who does apply these charges, and who does not.

Charges for Withdrawing cash while abroad.

Banks tend to make a considerable amount of money out from foreign cash withdrawals. They do this in various ways, some of which are detailed below:

 1. Usually you are charge somewhere in the region of 2% of the withdrawal amount, or a minimum fee of £2.
 2. As soon as you withdraw the cash, you will be paying interest on the money
 3. Because of the way that most credit card repayments are tiered, you will pay off your cheaper debt first, meaning the expensive debt (ie. The cash withdrawals you make) will be the last thing to be paid off.
 4. Often you will be charged a higher interest rate than your standard APR.

Should I take my credit cards abroad with me, or leave them at home?

Having your credit cards with you whilst abroad, as stated at the start of this article, can be very useful. For example, if you are in an emergency situation, having your plastic friend with you can get you out of trouble quick, whether you pay a breakdown company, hire a car, or book a hotel… the plastic in your pocket can save the day when things go wrong abroad.

One thing worth noting however is that if you do not tell your bank that you are going abroad, then they may put a stop on the card when they see foreign transactions. For this reason, we recommend you always tell the bank where you are going, and when.

It is also advisable to take your card providers contact details with you, especially if they use 0870 or 0845 numbers, as these may not work when dialed abroad – so ask them for their international numbers.

Dirty Dancing Still One of The Most Popular West End Shows

July 24th, 2008 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Press Releases

dirty dancing theatre tickets

The credit crunch may be affecting many business and some parts of the entertainment, but with over thirteen million people attending the theatre in 2007, it is pretty safe to say that the popularity of the west end is far from under threat.

Perhaps part of the reason is that increased stress in people’s working lives encourages them to look for ways to get away from it all. A night at the theatre certainly fulfils that need for escapism.
But one thing is for certain, in these tighter times people will be looking for better deals for their theatre tickets, and that is where online theatre ticket agents come into their own.

Websites like www.uktickets.co.uk specialise in getting their visitors the best tickets at the best prices for all of the most popular shows. So this is a great place to go for cheap dirty dancing tickets

One example of such a show is Dirty Dancing, which has never lost its appeal with theatre goers, even though it’s two decades since it first appeared on the big screens of the cinema.
The movie ‘Dirty Dancing’ was in fact so successful; that it triggered a number of spin offs, including an American TV show, a Musical tour, and even a computer game!

The theatre show has been even more successful than the movie though, with one particular show in 2004 selling well over two hundred thousand tickets in only 6 months.

When Dirty Dancing opened at the Aldwych theate (Oct 2006), it brought in the highest pre-sales in the London theatrical history, in fact, some of the weekend performances were selling out up to 6 months in advance.

Unlike some theatre shows, Dirty Dancing is actually pretty faithful to the movie, but it does have some extra parts slotted in especially for the stage, which enhances the performance.

Theatre Breaks Never More Appealing

July 24th, 2008 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Press Releases

theatre breaks

Top London theatre shows have always sold out fast, sometimes making it very hard to get to see the show you want. In 2008 however, there is a much better chance of getting a ticket if you are internet savvy.

2007 was announced as the West End’s most successful year since the records started (in 1908!). A record number of people attended shows (13,636,540 to be precise!). The London Theatre business definitely enjoyed a good year last year that is for sure.

There is no denying that there has been a big increase in the number of new theatre shows in the last few years, and it is doubtful that this will change, but the credit crunch has started to have some impact on the world of the theatre. More and more discounts are being offered, even for the top shows, in an attempt to keep the seats filled.

As well as the standard offers and reductions, theatre breaks are becoming better and better value, making obtaining tickets for a top west end show, along with great hotel accommodation both easier and much more cost effective than if you were to buy them separately.

Websites like westendtheatrebreaks.com are now able to offer amazing deals, such as dirty dancing theatre breaks, Oliver theatre breaks, and phantom of the opera theatre breaks.

Data Loss – Avoid nasty shocks with external harddrive backups.

July 21st, 2008 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Press Releases

Data loss can be an extremely upsetting occuranse, and lets face it, how many of us actually take the time to backup our data frequently?

If, like me, you are someone that thinks about backing up their data on a regular basis, but never quite gets round to it, then you better act fast.

Data loss due a a harddrive crash, or computer virus can be devastating to an individual, let alone a company. What can be really distressing is not knowing exaclty what you have lost! All too often hard drives crash just before we were going to do a backup!

The solution???

The solution is to backup often! Nothing else for it! The easiest way I find of doing this is with an external hard drive. USB hard drives can now be bought for very little money, including the ”passport hard dive” type, that do not require an external power source.

These PassPort hard drives are very very usefull indeed. The usually require no driver installs, and run straight out of the box. They may even come with backup software.

Make sure you get a hard drive that is compatible with your computer operating system, and one that is made by a well known brand.

Then, when you have the hard drive, make sure you backup your data on a regular basis.

Buy Wine Online – The Ethical Way

July 18th, 2008 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Press Releases

It is said that the individual can make a difference, and by many people making small changes, great change can happen. Perhaps one of the most effective methods of bringing about social and environmental change that is open to us, as consumers, is by ‘voting with our wallets’. The wine industry is no exception to this rule.

Many ‘mass market wines’, as well as being rather bland and low quality, are produced using unethical techniques – such as heavy pesticide use.

The guys at wines unfurled (www.winesunfurled.com) don’t believe in such practices. They are experts in the field of ethical wines, and only sell ‘real wine’

The producers that winesunfurled.com use practice sustainable vitivulture in their vineyards, and all winesunfurled.com packaging is 100% recyclable. Add to this the fact that these guys use shipping methods that are as efficient as possible (rather than air freight), and this makes winesunfurled a market leader in ethical wine sales.

Wines unfurled does not stop here however, they passionately hunt down wines from a diverse range of countries and producers in an attempt to stem the tendency towards the ‘dumbing down’ of wine varieties that is being caused by mass produced factory wines.

So, next time you look to buy wine online, maybe avoid the well known supermarket websites, and instead buy from a website that specializes in ‘real’ wines. Not only will you get a far superior bottle, but you can actually feel good about the fact that you are supporting an ethical wine company, and also helping to keep the smaller, ‘real’ vineyards alive and well.

Energy Comparison – Compare Energy Prices to cut costs

July 17th, 2008 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Press Releases

Energy providers vary greatly across the United Kingdom, with some large companies dominating the market and smaller companies spread throughout. When choosing your next place to live, or simply looking to cut household costs, it can be important to compare energy prices and companies and prices in the area to see if you can get a bit of a bargain. The British energy market is comprised of several companies: British Gas, NPower, Scottish Power, and a group of other, more local electricity companies that are much smaller in size.

First, find out more about the company options that are available in your areas. Websites like energychoices.com provide electricity switching comparison services, including for gas and electricity, as well as water and broadband based on your postcode. The most important thing to compare is the tariff rate. There are many different options to choose from.

British Gas is one of the largest electricity companies in the United Kingdom and can be one of the cheapest, depending on the area where you live. British Gas is available all over Scotland, Wales, and England., operating under the name Scottish Gas in Scotland. They provide both gas and electricity and have a range of discounts if you sign up for your services online. In addition to providing maintenance, they also provide installation for central heating, such as boilers, and provide repair services. British Gas prices include the possibility of saving £122 on the standard tariff, both on electricity and gas services. They also have the market tracker, which allows you to follow the wholesale energy market more closely than traditional energy products.

nPower is another large energy provider, supplying 6.8 million customers in the UK and is jointly owned by a German energy company. It has three different plans, including a standard plan, a capped plan for a certain time period, and a plan that allows users to derive some supply from green energy sources. Consumers should keep in mind that npower raised its rates for npower gas by 17% and npower electricity by 12.7% in January. But it is still worth checking to see how their prices compare in your area.

ScottishPower is slightly smaller than npower and provides energy to 5.2 million customers all across the UK. It has a much broader range of plans offered than nPower or British gas, including a fixed price energy 2009 plan, an economy 7 plan, and a green energy plan as well, all of which come in different variations. After some price rises in 2006, ScottishPower reduced gas and electricity prices by 16.5% for gas and 6% for electricity.

One major benefit from almost all of the providers is that you will not lose power during the switch, and it is usually free to switch for all providers. However, do your research carefully and run the companies through a comparison engine based on the plan you are looking for . Not all companies may have the same plan, especially if you are looking for something cheaper. Make sure that each plan you compare has the same features. It is usually well worth the bit of effort needed to compare gas and electricity prices, as there are usually savings to be made.

Shaolin Kung Fu Training – (Gong Fu) Master Teaches Bristol Shaolin Class

July 16th, 2008 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Press Releases

Perhaps one of the best known and most revered of all oriental martial arts, Shaolin Kung FU can be a very rewarding martial art to train in.

Shaolin Kung fu (or Gong FU as it is sometimes referred to) will train the student to master both his/her body, and his/her mind.

Increased levels of fitness, a calmer and more meditative mindset, coupled with an increased ability to deal with almost any situation can all arise from good Shaolin training.

One of the big problems here in the west however, is how to find a good tutor. Personally, I have tried several different martial arts forms, along with quite a few different instructors, some better than others.

At the end of the day though, it is pretty hard to beat being trained under a 34th Generation Monk. That is what awaits anyone that takes a visit to the Shaolin Temple Gong Fu class in Bristol, and trains under Master Yan Xin.

Master Yan Xin
studied at the Shaolin temple from the age of 8. At 19, he became a Shaolin master, specializing in Shaolin forms, Hard Qi Gong, Shaolin Weapons, and Sanda. Master Yan Xin has performed in many countries throughout the world, including performance watch by HRH Queen Elizabeth II, and has been a part of the ‘Wheel of Life’ tour.

If anyone is in any doubt whatsoever about the best place to train in Martial Arts in the Bristol or South West area, I suggest they contact the Bristol Shaolin Temple Gong Fu class as soon as possible. Their classes are very friendly, yet the skills taught are extremely powerful both for body and soul.

Compare gas and electricity to get the best deals

July 16th, 2008 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Press Releases

Choosing home heating can be confusing, especially if you are looking for ways to cut down on heating costs or shopping for a new home and you have the choice between various energy methods. One way to do this is to compare energy heating options and prices, particularly between electricity and gas. Even when renting, choosing one or the other can save you hundreds of ponds a year, depending on fluctuations in energy markets and gas sales prices.

The two primary choices for energy to power your home or apartment are either electricity or gas. The best way to decide which is right for you is to compare energy prices for both variants. There are several electric home heating options to choose from. In an electric heating system, an electric current converts electrical energy into heat energy through either a space heater or domestic underfloor heating. The environmental effects depend on the boundaries of the system, and can be costlier if there are smaller temperature changes as opposed to large ones overnight.

Gas heating comes from the use of natural gases such as ethane, propane, and butane, mostly for cooking and central heating. These homes may include boilers, furnaces, and water heaters.

To find out which is more efficient, you can use websites that complete energy comparisons between the two types of prices. It is important to keep in mind that, since natural gas comes from many of the same sources as gasoline, it competes with it in price. Because natural gas comes from the ground, this affects 75% of its price, while transportation also plays an important role, increasingly important in today’s economy.

Electricity prices vary by region but are much more stable than the gas prices that rely on market values. Different appliances in the home use different sources of energy. Water usually uses gas while house heating can use either gas or electricity. According to the U.S. Department of Energy, 14% of home heating usage is for water while 44% is for heating and air conditioning, meaning that electricity can be cheaper in the long-term while gas can be cheaper in the short-term.

However, when shopping for a new house, make sure to ask what each appliance is heated with and compare the costs in your local area. Electricity in New York City may be cheaper to get than that in the middle of the country due to a more heavily-concentrated grid system. The best way is to comparison-shop on the internet, where there are plenty of websites available to calculate how much natural gas and electricity respectively cost per their unit of measure. Natural gas is usually measured in BTUs, or British thermal units, while electricity is measured by kilowatt-hours.

Converting between the units will ensure an easier rate of comparison.
While heating prices for all modes are going up faster across the world, shopping online will ensure the best rate of comparison for you.

Making Money Online… Harder than some would like you to believe.

July 15th, 2008 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Press Releases

It you believe some members of the online world, making money ionline is simple. All you need to do is buy an ebook from one of the ‘Gurus’, follow their formula, and all will be hunky dory!

The so called Gurus of the internet marketing world (IM) promise to sell you their ‘Secret Techniques’ that only they know… they then tend to set some sort of time delay, such as having “Hurry, this offer ends___” – and a date. What some people don’t know however, is that the date is automatically set to be the current day, or the day after.

They do this to create a sense of urgency, and to try to stop you thinking. What they want is for you to react whilst in a kind of consumer version of the classic ‘Fight or Flight’ mode.

The thing is… Lets face it, if they really knew of a way to make lots of money that quickly and easily, why would they be punting their ebook for a few $$ ???

 • Oh! Wait! – Maybe that IS the way to make money online, selling ebooks?

In which case…

Don’t buy their ebook! – Pop to a freelancer type of site, and pay someone to write an internet marketing book for you, complete with a sales pitch page. Then join clickbank, and let others promote it for you!

BETTER STILL – Forget the idea that you will make a fortune overnight! – Accept the fact that if you want to earn real money online, then you will have to put some work in!

IT IS possible to make a living from your spare room, using nothing more than a PC (or mac, if you are so inclined!) and a decent internet connection. However, it will require some level of work.

There are various routes to go down, depending on your particular skill. If you know lots about a particular subject, start a blog (or two!) and setup adsense, and other monetizing systems on the blog.

You may have the option of getting some affiliates also, so you can review products etc, and get a % of sales… But make your blog more than a sales pitch! – Make it interesting and informative, with the odd sales post here and there, coupled with adsense etc.

If you really want to read about other ways of earning cash online, then read someone elses trials and tribulations. Mark Watsons Freedom Products is a decent place to start. This guy aims to try lots of different web based money making systems, and then report their effectiveness on his blog and website.

If making money online interests you, then be sure to bookmark his site, and check back every so often to see what’s new.

Direct Access Motorbike Training – Change is in the air?

July 14th, 2008 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Press Releases

At the moment, once you pass the standard motorbike test, you are restricted to riding a smaller motorbike for the first 2 years of your license.

There is a way round this however…

Direct Access Motorcycle Test

The direct access motorbike test is available to anyone aged 21 or over. With this test, after completing the cbt training successfully, you are trained to ride a larger motorcycle. – Usually a 500cc bike (minimum 35kw / 46.6 bhp)

Once you can safely ride this machine, you are put to the test on the road.

The motorbike test examiner can either:

 1. Pass you outright for the direct access, In which case you are licensed to ride any size motorbike
 2. Fail you outright (self explanatory!)
 3. Pass you, but only for a normal, restricted license.

As well as looking for the usual safety and control elements, the examiner is also looking to see that the rider is not afraid of the power that the larger machines have.

Various motorbike training centres offer direct access training, and costs vary, depending on both the test centre, and the speed at which you pick up the skills needed.

There is however a change planned for later this year. (2008)

These changes will include a swerve test at speed, amongst other new sections of the test.

To accommodate the changes to the direct access motorbike test, the government is building several new ‘Super Test Centres) – so that the manoeuvres can be carried out off the pubic highway, and in a safer environment.

Each super centre will need about two and a half acres of tarmac, and cost somewhere inthe region of £1.5 million each centre.

So far, it seems that there will be around 65 of these test centres, which is causing some concern about backlogs of people waiting to do their test, and also fears that the costs of the new centres being passed on to the test candidates.

If you have always wanted to take the full direct access motorcycle test, then call an approved training centre ASAP, before the law changes!

In the South West of England, Kickstart Motorcycle Training are a good starting point. They offer expert motorcycle training, and are very friendly and approachable.

Kickstart Motorcycle training can be contacted for free on: 0800 019 8919

Server Spares, where can you buy dl 360 spares?

July 13th, 2008 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Press Releases

When your server is running smoothly, its easily forgotten. What happens, however when your server goes down, where can you turn?

Do you replace the whole server? Or simply the components that have broken down? Obviously, it would be more economically rewarding to replace just the parts, but where do you find them?

You can try Googling terms like Server Parts, or Server Spares… Alternatively, you can try searching for your specific server name, for example: dl server parts, dl360 parts, dl380 – and don’t forget to put a space in there also… “dl 360“.

The problem that you may have is that there are many websites that will sell you either the latest server whole or spare parts for a new server, but parts for older servers can be much harder to source.

Do not despair however, as there are websites that exist to cater for the older machines as well as the newer beasties.

www.microbite.co.uk is one such website. You can look under specific headings (such as Servers) – or be looking for specific product codes.

This site sells hundreds of thousands of spares, if you are stuck then it is a good idea to search on the specific product code that you are looking for.

Theatre Breaks – What a great way to get away!

July 13th, 2008 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Press Releases

We all like to escape the drib drab monotony of everyday existence every once in a while don’t we? I know I do!

One of my favourite escape routes is a trip to the theatre. I can’t quite put my finger on why, but within the ranks of all the instruments of escapism that I know of, the Theatre is by far the most intense, engulfing and real (yet magical).

Television, Cinema, and radio all have their place of course, but there is something truly captivating about a live theatre show.

Return to realism

When I leave the theatre though, the real world seeps back into being, the magic fades, and all too soon the experience is just a distant memory… That is why I love theatre breaks

With a theatre break, once the show is over, instead of returning to the real world with a jolt, you retire to a top London hotel to carry on the magic. The following morning you awake to a full English breakfast, to fortify you before you return to the real world completely.

This all sounds quite lavish, but in fact a theatre break like this can costs as little as #100.

Theatre Breaks – A Great Anniversary or Birthday Present

It is hard to imagine a present that would keep the magic alive quite as much as a trip to a west end show followed by a stay in a top London hotel. Yep, a London theatre break would definitely make for a memorable anniversary!

On-line people search system – Find anyone online?

July 10th, 2008 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Press Releases

It’s a little awe inspiring to consider, but search-people-info.com has announced that their consumer records have amassed to a point of over 3 billion.

The resource seems to allow those with access to the Internet to find information on virtually anyone. And with over 3 billion records, it’s tough to find anyone not within their search capacity. Clearly, the new service is something to be marveled.

Included in the reports are criminal records, unclaimed money records, marriage or adoption records, social security numbers, and a wide plethora of everything in between. The resource can attest to the fact that their reverse phone number service itself has quite a large following of loyal users.

More importantly for the everyday Internet user this site allows Internet users to keep in touch with classmates, family, and friends. Thanks to their service, Search-People-Info.com has been able to connect family and friends from all over the world with just a few clicks of the mouse.

It is expected that the resource will continue to grow and expand their resources as time goes on. Their astounding database of over 3 billion records only grows with each passing day, and their reach continues to grow as a result.

With technologies available in the present day, it’s apparent that there is little that can’t be accomplished in terms of finding the “dirt” on anyone in the world with just a little information to work with.

Perhaps this will also be used by small business employers to check up on prospective new employees in a cost effective manner?

Pre Paid Credit Cards – Useful? – or a complete waste of money?

July 10th, 2008 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Press Releases

What are Pre Paid cards?

Pre paid credit cards are kind of like debit cards, but they can be used anywhere that accepts that brand of ‘credit card’. I say they are like a debit card, as there is no ‘credit’ as such.

Basically, you, the cardholder, just pay in whatever funds you would like to have on the card, and spend it as and when you want to.

 1. Why Use Pre paid Credit Cards? Less to worry about when you are abroad. – If your card gets stolen, the thief can only take out what is there, and not run you into debt.
 2. Pre paid credit cards are often available in currencies other than your home currency… Great for when you are abroad.
 3. You can avoid getting into bad debt, as you can not usually go overdrawn with most of these cards (But be sure to check with the provider)
 4. No credit check when applying means that you can get as many of these cards as you want, and not have to worry about excess credit checks screwing with your credit rating!
 5. Pre paid credit cards are a good idea for internet payments, as if any ‘hacker’ or ‘cracker’ gets hold of your details, they will not be able to run you in to a large amount of debt. (Again, check the details with each specific card provider, and also your terms and conditions)
 6. Another benefit of not having to undergo a credit check is that anyone (over 18 usually) with good ID can get a card, no matter how low their credit score is.

So you see, despite being a little more costly than some credit cards, and putting aside the fact that you may not get benefits that you would expect from a ‘real’ credit card (such as air miles, reward points etc) – Pre Paid Credit Cards can be very useful.

Like any credit or monetary decision, do your research before taking out a pre paid credit card.

Recycled Bags Ease Business Men’s Conscience

July 9th, 2008 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Press Releases

The number of plastic bottles enetering the waste systems of the UK alone is approximately just over half a million tones per year. This works out at an estimated 13billion bottles!!! (Sourced)

Try to imagine what that mountain of plastic bottles would look like dumped on your lawn! (or in a landfill)

Now, many of those bottles are recycled these days, but what into???

Step forward, the Act2 Bag!!!

The Act2 range of bags are made from recycled plastic bottles… yes, that’s right! – Some of that huge pile of plastic bottles is actually turned into bags! – And we are not talking some shabby, rough looking shopping bag here either!

Act2 bags look very professional, and are designed with the businessman in mind.

If more products like this came onto the market, then perhaps the amount of waste bottles we recycle would go up, which would obviously be better for the environment, not to mention the fact that this reduces the amount of other materials, that would be used in the manufacture process.

Lets be honest, we don’t always do everything we should for the environment, most of us meant to, but our lives are so busy its hard to ‘do you bit’.

Maybe one thing we can all do is support companies that try to make ‘greener’ products, thus encouraging more companies to ‘take up the cause’ on our behalf.

So go on, make your next laptop bag a recycled bag.
