It comes as no surprise in these days of tighter budgets that people are reducing the amount they spend on everything from business expenses to household budgets. Now you may expect that more people would be opting for second-hand spares to repair and maintain their vehicles. Sadly due to the ever increasing complexity of most vans this is not particularly a DIY situation. With most repairs and part replacements needing the services of a mechanic the cost savings made by buying second-hand parts are not always enough to encourage the use of second-hand parts.

When a second-hand part is genuinely re-used it is kept out of the system for another lease of life. This is real world ecological recycling; re-using something is always preferable to spending time, money and energy reforming it to a new shape or raw material. Where ever possible we can all take this on board, whether it be a van or a cardboard tube, re-use, re-use, re-use.
