London Theatre Tickets Site Gains Popularity

A website that was setup to serve readers information and news about the London theatre scene reports it is gaining in popularity.

Whilst much of the UK economy is being hit hard by the credit crunch, some areas of the entertainments industry are still thriving.

When asked why the site, and industry sector is seemingly less damaged by the financial crisis than many other business areas, a spokesperson for the London Theatre Tickets site said:

We feel that the reason is perhaps one of escapism. The harder real life gets, the more people desire a (allbeit temporary) escape from it. The stage offers an excellent way of ‘switching off’ for a while, and being whisked away into a magic world. If you think about it, theatre has remained popular throughout some of the harshest times in British histroy).

Even though the glistening stage isn’t as hard hit as many businesses, that doesn’t mean that the financial crunch hasn’t had at least some effect…

For example, many people are turning to the Net to get cheaper tickets for shows, and this is perhaps helping to bolster the online sale of tickets even more than usual.

Whatever the reason, it looks plain to see that the world of the stage is here to stay!

Theatre Breaks – Magical, Fun, and Comparatively Cheap

February 20th, 2009 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Press Releases

It might seem like movies are getting more and more recycled and dumbed down these days. Nights in watching TV only remind you that you’re getting more and more channels but less and less content. It doesn’t get any better when you go out either, the same pubs in the same town every week. Perhaps you often find yourself arguing with your friends about what to do on the weekend. Luckily not everything is quite as grim as it sounds, and there’s still one form of entertaining that is both unique and incredibly fun: the theatre break.

A theatre break doesn’t just involve spending an evening at a show. It’s the anticipation of the event; it’s the fun of travelling to the city with friends and the excitement of spending a night in one of the biggest and most vibrant cities in the world. Sound expensive? It doesn’t have to be. “West End Theatre Breaks” is a company that specialises in just such events and has been working with theatre organizations and hotels in the West End and beyond for 20 years.

What’s more, their website can book your tickets and hotel at once, saving you tons of money, so much that the price of your show tickets and your hotel could easily be less than the price you would pay for just a single night’s stay in London if you book elsewhere. Everyone knows that London is an expensive city and that these are difficult times, but with the cheap theatre breaks you can find on the site, you don’t have to worry about either of these things at all.

You don’t have to worry about planning either. You get to choose everything from where in the theatre you and your friends will sit to your choice of three, four or five star hotels. Even if you’ve never seen a show in your life or even been to the city, theatre breaks in London can be organised in just a few minutes with confidence you’ll be getting the best deal around. With shows like the Lion King, Billy Elliot and Mamma Mia only a few clicks away, the only argument now will be what to go and see!
