Kingpin-seo are pleased to announce that articles written by the UK based Ethical web marketing company are now appearing in the top Webmaster webmaster site ‘sitepronews’.

Articles by kingpin-seo can be found here: sitepronews articles.

Kingpin-seo pride themselves in quality content writing which, they beleive is paramount to any web based marketing stragergy.

Many SEO companies concentrate on link building, oftentimes in an unethical manner. kingpin-seo. however, feel that trying to ‘game’ the system by tricking Google and it’s complex algorithm is both futile and immoral. Instead kingpin-seo tries to work within the bounds of ‘ethical seo’.

What is Ethical SEO

What with all the SEO companies out there claiming to be ‘Ethical SEO’ companies, it may be worth eploring the meaning of this term somewhat!

There is no set definition of an ‘Ethical SEO’ company, so it is all down to perception really. Kingpin-seo beleives that to be a truely Ethical SEO company, they have to be transparant in their workings, and keep clients fully informed not only of what they are doing, but why. Kingpin-seo also believes that they must adhere closely to the terms dictated by Google themselves, and keep up to date with all the most recent SEO occurances.

Social Media promotion, via excellent content, and press release distribution (decent press releases, not spammy articles guised as a press release) are amongst some of the techniques kingpin-seo favour.

Search Engine Optimisation – What’s the Point?

November 27th, 2008 by admin | No Comments | Filed in General News

Even if you have a really good website that sells products or services that people actually want to buy, if nobody can find your site, how will you make money?

Let’s look at some facts:

In a poll in 2002 by iprospect.com, it was found that around 85% of internet users asked didn’t look past the first 2 pages of results when searching for anything online.

Imagine that? Basically, if you are not on the first 2 pages of the search results for the terms your customers are typing, you may be losing 85% of the potential trade.

And, it seems, people only get more and more impatient as the internet grows. If the same study was to be repeated in 2008, it may well be found that a higher percentage don’t look past the first 2 pages.

Search Engine Optimisation, when performed correctly, should put your website in front of people that are actually LOOKING for your products/services.

Does SEO Have To Be Expensive?

It depends what you consider expensive! – Many companies are happy to pay thousands for a full or partial page advert in a popular magazine, even though they frequently get very little return on their investment.

Even if your advert is in a relevant industry magazine, what are the chances that a reader whom actually wants to buy your products or services will see your advert at the right time?
Compare that with having your websites appear in Google when someone is actually searching for your product or service, and you can hopefully start to see the value of a good Search Engine Optimisation campaign.

Back to the magazine analogy, would you pay a cheap graphic designer to make the advert that represents your company, or a respected and skilled one that knows their trade?
The same goes for online marketers! – The expertise and experience of a professional online marketer does cost money.

You also need to be sure you go with an SEO company that does not try, in any way, to trick the Google algorythm. A good SEO company will strive to improve your site and its visibilty in an ethical manner, and thus increase its success, and would never try to manipulate the results – as this could lead to a penality being issued by Google.

Seo Blog Gives Webmasters The Latest Tips From Across The Net…

September 18th, 2008 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Press Releases

Many websites offer SEO tips, but most of them seemingly contradict each other…

So how does the newbie webmaster know which advise to take?

One website has popped up aiming to fulfill this need. http://www.seo-tips-blog.info pulls in the latest SEO news from SEO sites across the web, allowing the reader to browse many tips and ideas from lots of different websites all under one ‘virtual roof’.

Getting the latest seo tips can prove very valuable for any online business. It has been said that if your website does not appear within the first 3 pages of Googles search results for your given search term, then your site will suffer from a seriously low amount of relevant traffic.

Why Google Optimisation?

Well, to be blunt, Google is king of the online world! They have a serious majority share of internet searches, so of course pandering to the rules of Google is a good idea if you want exposure for your online business.

Know Google’s Rules

Oftentimes people can be heard moaning about the rules and penalties Google has… but lets be fair here folks! – Google’s business relies on it returning the most relevant results for any given search term… Now, because of the amazing effect a decent Google ranking can have on a websites revenue, many people actually try to trick the Algorithm that Google uses to rank their website above the competition… That is why Google has to defend itself, imposing penalties for such activities…

How To Rank In Google… AND Avoid Getting Banned…

Simple! – Create a great website! – It sounds silly I know, but really! – Make a great website, make it interesting and contain facts or advice that people will want to see….
Then, read many SEO blogs and forums…. read Matt Cutt’s blog … and make sure you update your content and keep your site relevant, fresh, and within the guidelines of Google. – No hidden links or keyword stuffing etc… but as you will be reading Matts blog often, you will be fine ;-)

If you think your products are boring and hard to write about, think out of the box… write content about the products, or unique uses of the products. BE INTERESTING so that people come back to your site.

In real life, if someone we talk to is bland, talks in a monotonous tone, and sends us to sleep in 15mins of chatting, we wouldn’t go back for more (unless we suffered from insomnia!) – Your website is the same! – Make it interesting, and people WILL link to you. It may take a while to get visitors if you are new, that is normal for most people! – Just have in your mind that you want to make your site so interesting, that those that do find you, will keep coming back… and even tell their friends to visit you!

To get things rolling, you can try having a competition online, and advertising it in local press, doing a press release (online also remember!) and telling the folks that you chat to regularly in related forums (you do that already… right?!!!)

Obviously as you can see above, there are a few things you can do to help people find this great site of yours, but you really do need to make sure what you do is Google friendly, so that you don’t end up being hit by ‘friendly seo fire’ between Google’s spam soldiers and the Black Hat SEO guerrillas!

SEO-tips-blog.info is an interesting in the way it pulls info from various sources, but don’t even rely on that site alone! – Also, avoid any SEO company that says it can get you a guaranteed top 10 Google ranking, or such like… SEO is not rocket science, unless you are wanting to research heavily on the subject.

All you need to know to get a website ranked well is what Google’s terms are (so you know the rules of the ‘game’), a little about how to write well, and ideally some good web design practices… the rest you can pick up easily by reading a few decent blogs, and joining in with discussions on webmaster forums… and that advice is coming from me, someone who makes a living in the SEO industry (Hey, did I just shoot myself in the foot there???! Damn!)
