UK consumers compare broadband based on reliability

Citing a recent study found at broadbandchoices.co.uk we discovered that a huge percentage of United Kingdom consumers are completely unhappy with their broadband provider. Indeed, when surveyed fully 40% of UK broadband users report that they intend to compare broadband companies and switch broadband providers at some point during the upcoming year.

This same report offers that the vast majority of these dissatisfied customers are not facing a decision on price but are actually more concerned with reliability. Obviously when one has packaged all of their telecommunications services together and that service fails, effectively turning off one’s home phone, television, and broadband service, an extremely unhappy customer is sure to be the result.

The second highest group of dissatisfied home broadband customers base their decision on poor speed from their connection. Surprisingly, price played a role in our choice of broadband provider in only 15% of all cases. It would seem that UK consumers have learned a poor connection is equal to no connection at all. All of this points out that before we choose any Internet connection company we need to complete a broadband comparison that allows us to study the aspects of all these companies.

Features to be examined in our broadband comparison will be customer complaints in broadband reviews as well as pricing option comparison such as those found on the Broadband Choices web site. It would appear UK consumers have realized that a simple price comparison without examination of speed and reliability is likely to result in purchase of a broadband connection that is completely unsuitable to our needs.
