That is probably part of the picture, as is the need to ever-improve their search results, due in part to spammers, and also in part to keep at the top of a fast moving Marketplace, where one of your leading competitors joined forces (to some extent) with another of your competitors.

Agree with your view on a shift in search. Another important argument is that there will be more direct browser search skipping Google. When Nike launches a new shoe model they can advertise for a memorable address such as t100.nike, and users will go there directly

Interesting changes were last year. Still it remains unclear why do Google bought Motorola and why Microsoft and Apple began to buy patents. The one thing is clear is that they will not be able to reduce Google power.

Google will renew their contract with Firefox for one simple reason: Firefox doesn’t include Adblock Plus by default. Without Google’s support, it would. That would mean that everyone who uses Firefox would stop contributing to Google’s cash flow. The deal benefits both parties.

I think you are totally wrong. There is no way that the article would be shared by just clicking on it. That is not the way that Google+ works. You might get an option to share it with your circles or the public and you have to make a decision. It is not automatic.

It’s sad to see this tool go, I used to love it, and it was the only free tool that helped me determine how competitive the keyword is. I hope there will be some new alternatives that are also free.

I think google keep changeing it for a reason so we cant reverse engineer what they are doing if they didnt change it we would suss it pretty quick you can have every site with a page rank of 10
