Online researcher comScore have produced their latest market figures of the online search world, which have shown a minor rise in the amount of people using Google and Bing to complete online searches. Yahoo, previously a main competitor to both Google and Microsoft Live, has seen more reductions in the number of searches but still hold nearly a fifth of the overall share.
The Computer Business Review holds few surprises to anyone following the world of SEO and search engines closely – Google still holds the market at 64.9% while Bing has reached an impressive 9.4% overall. This is up from 64.6% for Google and 9.3% for Bing in August. Although not meteoric shifts in the way people search, the numbers show Bing continuing to carve a place for itself in the market and Yahoo struggling to find its niche, despite large changes to the site design in previous years.
However, it’s worth noting that Yahoo still hold nearly 19% of the market share, compared to the much smaller 3.9% of engines like AOL and the even smaller 3% of Ask.
Meanwhile, Google still hold a massive share of the search advertising market, reaching a new record of 81.2% market share.
Bing’s continuing innovations coupled with a strong American ad campaign have allowed the search engine to gain an impressive amount of ground, but just how long it can hold out for amongst the Mountain View giant is still a matter of much debate.

Hello from Russia!
Can I quote a post in your blog with the link to you?

@ Jade,
I agree with you, whilst Bing is better than the older Live! search, in my opinion Google still returns the most relevant results.
Also, Google is seemingly much better at bringing out updates and new elements to their search, such as the new social search the are launching.
